Paul Satterly

Paul plays 2nd Tenor on a rather nice black Dave Guardala sax bought as a 40th birthday present!   Paul is one of the original members of the band, joining a few years after starting to play the sax.

Paul is often seen looking enviously at his talented 1st tenor partners. hoping that one day his skills will have improved sufficiently to take a solo.

His sax heroes are Sonny Rollins, Ronnie Laws, Stanley Turrentine and Gene Ammons.

Tim plays Alto 1.

Kate Evans

Kate is no longer on maternity leave. She now has a baby.

She has been playing the sax for around 16 years and is a fan of the Rat Pack section of the Park Lane repertoire such as Come Fly With Me. If she were a sweet she would be chocolate covered marzipan.

Alex Rusling

Alex has been a member of park lane for about 6 years and took the Bari torch from Chris Hext when he left for university.

Having originally wanted to play the flute, she is thankful that she was instead made to play the clarinet and hence the sax.

Somewhat greedily, if she were a type of sweet she would be Revels – all varieties apart from coffee.

Her favourite vegetable is butternut squash, primarily due to its name.
