  • Kenyan Orphans Project

If you have ever been to see Park Lane Big Band at any of their end of the month Monday night golf club gigs then you will be aware that we have a charity which we support. Tom, one of our trombonists, has done a lot of work with the Kenyan Orphans Project and so KOP is the band’s current charity.

Kenyan Orphan Project was started in 2001 by medical students with the vision to fight against poverty, disease, social exclusion and injustice and to help improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya.
Since then more than 500 students from different UK medical schools have been helping to support KOP projects. KOP also works hard to link project work with global child health education and experience for UK students and volunteers.
KOP is committed to creating sustainable initiatives with local project partners.

For more information on KOP please visit their website at www.kopafrica.org.

As you can see, KOP does a lot of very good work, so next time you come along to a PLBB Monday night gig – please dig deep for this excellent cause.
