About the Band

We’re based in Bath in the UK, and have been playing as a band since 2000. Park Lane Big Band grew out of the Just In Time youth band; as the players became too old to play with them, Park Lane was born. A few friends were brought in to fill the gaps and two months after its first rehearsal the band stepped out for its first gig.
18 years on, we perform as a full strength 18-piece band. Our repertoire covers many different types of music, from the likes of Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller in the early days right up to the contemporary works of (among others) Gordon Goodwin and Tom Kubis. The wide range of music enables us to perform at weddings and corporate events, but also for themed 40s nights and other events.
In recent years the band been on summer tours to Italy and Portugal, performing at both outdoor and indoor venues.
